In the framework of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, launched by the European Union, the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna announces the international conference “The Matter of Future Heritage”, organised by the PhD in Architecture and Design Cultures on 23 November 2018 at the Foyer Respighi, Teatro Comunale, Bologna.
We welcome abstracts including bibliographical reviews, pilot projects or repertoires of case studies and best-practices, exploring the potential impact and role of Cultural Heritage on future EU Agendas in different fields.
Please indicate one of the following tracks:
1. Technological Innovation for Heritage technological tools/fruition/accessibility/performances/environmental sustainability/comfort
2. Cultural welfare and Social Innovation for Heritage public goods management/participation/empowerment/bottom-up/public-private/business models
3. Heritage Resilience and Risk disaster risk reduction and management/cultural legacy/adaptation/resilience
4. The assets of Future Heritage cultural heritage/minor heritage/everyday landscape
By the perspective of architecture, technologies, conservation and urban studies,the conference seeks contributions from PhD students and young scholars.
